Nanaimo RCMP locate missing 50-year-old man

NANAIMO — RCMP have located 50-year-old Scott Brown, safe early on Friday, June 12.

Brown went missing from his north Nanaimo home on Thursday, June 11 with a large search effort deployed to find him.

“RCMP officers with the assistance of Police Dog Services and RCMP Air Support focussed their efforts throughout the day in the area of Linley Valley,” Cst. Gary O’Brien said in a release on Thursday.

Search efforts continued until darkness set in on Thursday and resumed Friday morning.
