COVID-19 cases grow slightly on Vancouver Island, hospitalizations drop under 100
NANAIMO — More and more people are recovering from COVID-19 as the new case numbers and hospitalizations continue trending downward.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and health minister Adrian Dix announced 29 new cases of the virus in B.C in Friday afternoon written statement, for a total of 1,853 cases.
Three new cases of the virus were centred in the Island Health region, while a total of 114 of the cases have been diagnosed across the Island Health region.
Data as of Thursday, April 23 stated five people in the Island Health region are hospitalized due to COVID-19.
