Two more cases of COVID-19 confirmed on Vancouver Island

NANAIMO — The number of COVID-19 cases on Vancouver Island has increased for the second consecutive day.

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced two new cases of the virus in the Island Health Region on Saturday April 4, bringing the total to 76.

Province wide the number of cases jumped by 29 to 1,203. Three more people have died and 63 more people have fully recovered from the virus bringing the total to 704.

Dr. Bonnie Henry is reminding everyone who has returned from travel to self-isolate for 14 days. Friends and family can help them get groceries and get them home from the airport.
