COVID-19 cases on Vancouver Island rise slightly for only third time this week
NANAIMO — The rise of COVID-19 cases on Vancouver Island appears to be slowing.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced two new cases of the respiratory virus on Vancouver Island, bringing the total to 72.
The number of cases rose to 67 by Monday, March 30. It didn’t rise again until Wednesday, April 1 to 72 and now 74 on Friday, April 3.
The number of people on Vancouver Island in hospital also rose slightly, up to 10 from eight the day before.
