VIU Women’s Volleyball team crowned National Champions for third straight year

QUEBEC CITY — The VIU Mariners Women’s Volleyball team have completed a perfect 29-0 season after winning Gold at the CCAA National Championships.

The VIU Mariners defeated the Élans de Garneau in four sets (22-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17) to complete the three-peat.

The Women dominated the tournament only dropping two sets in three matches.

VIU’s Karoline Tormena was named MVP for the tournament.

Three Mariners were also named to the First All-Star Team Amanda Dobbyn, Shelby Dorman-Banks and Andrea Cankovic.
