NANAIMO — RCMP are seeking information related to a New Year’s hit and run at a local gas station.

On Jan. 3, a 53-year-old woman sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries as she exited her vehicle at the Petro-Can gas station on Uplands Dr.

Witnesses say a vehicle in front of the woman reversed and pinned her arm between the driver’s door and the frame of the car. She was transported to hospital as a result of the injuries.

“She yelled and screamed at the van, the van eventually stopped and then the driver went forward and drove off without rendering any assistance whatsoever,” Cst. Gary O’Brien told NanaimoNewsNOW.
