NANAIMO – The Clippers have had two near perfect outings in a row outscoring their opponents 12-0 in the last two games.

On Dec. 20 Nanaimo beat Victoria 5-0 on the strength of a 26 save shutout from Jordan Naylor and five different goal scorers providing the offense.

Liam Ryan and Brandon Dent, with his first as a Clipper, tallied in the first period, and Sean Donaldson scored the only goal of the second on a man advantage.

Ethan Scardina hit the scoresheet early in the third period and then set up Mike Kennedy to cap off the scoring.

The shutout was Naylor’s fifth of the season tying him for the league lead with Yaniv Perets of the Vees.

Nanaimo’s home record bumps up to 15-4-1-1 which ties last years total of 15 wins at Frank Crane Arena with two months of hockey still left to play.

The Clippers have one game left before the Christmas break when they travel to the Q Centre on Dec. 21.

That will wrap up the nine game season series which sits at 5-2-1 in Nanaimo’s favour.
