NANAIMO – It was a week of ups and downs for the Clippers with three games and one win.

The Clippers dropped both ends of a home and home series with Victoria Dec. 11 and 14.

In the opener at Frank Crane Arena Steven Agriogianis scored first but then Nanaimo surrendered the final three goals to suffer their first regulation loss of the season to the Grizzlies.

In Victoria the game took almost three and a half hours to play.

There was a 15 minute delay when the glass shattered in the first period, and the game was also the Grizzlies Teddy Bear Toss.

Victoria led 5-1 in the third period, and the Clippers did come back late but fell 6-3.

Nanaimo got goals from Josh Kagan, Ethan Scardina, and Tim Washe while put 47 shots on net.

They had 22 shots on BCHL Player of the Week Blake Wood in the third period.

The loss gave the Clippers their first three game losing streak of the season with an 0-2-0-1 record.

It didn’t take long for the team to put that behind them though, on Dec. 15 Nanaimo had their best game of the season spanking Merritt 7-0.

Josh Bourne had his first ever four goal game in the victory and earned his second career five point outing.

Jordan Naylor recorded 29 saves for his fourth shutout of the campaign, which put him in a tie for the league lead in that category.

Clippers highlights from Dec. 11-15 from games versus the Grizzlies and Centennials.

By the end of the weekend Nanaimo had a one point lead for first place in the Island Division.

The Clippers have two games remaining before the Christmas break.

They host Victoria Dec. 20 and visit the Grizzlies Dec. 21
