Charges potentially coming against four arrested in Cedar for shots fired call

NANAIMO — Charges could be laid against four people arrested and then released after a firearms incident in Cedar.

A substantial police presence responded to calls of shots fired in Cedar off Raines Rd. Wednesday afternoon. Officers found four people, who were arrested at the time. A rifle was also discovered, separate from the four.

They were later released.

Nanaimo RCMP Sgt. Jon Stuart told NanaimoNewsNOW firearms charges could be laid in the case after their investigation.
