Nanaimo Mountie finds and restores stolen bike

Nov 7, 2019 | 7:22 AM

NANAIMO — A sharp-eyed and generous Nanaimo Mountie ended months of disappointment for a 12-year-old boy missing his stolen bike.

Police say Cameryn White was left devastated when his bike was swiped from outside his home in May, 2019.

His wheels were replaced, thanks to Cst. Mark Long.

Long was on patrol on Oct. 29 when he noticed a suspect male pushing two bikes and a scooter.
