NANAIMO – The Clippers have won four straight games and players are picking up personal accolades as well.

Since Sept. 29 Nanaimo have outscored their opposition 17-3. That includes two shutouts, both against the Powell River Kings.

At the BCHL Showcase Oct. 2-3, the Clippers beat Surrey 6-2 and followed that up with a 5-1 victory over the Victoria Grizzlies.

Ethan Scardina was the offensive story in those games with his first career four point game (2g-2a) against the Eagles, and then he added another two goals plus an assist against the Grizzlies.

The line of Scardina, Josh Bourne, and Kyler Kovich combined for 14 points at the two day Showcase event.

Both Jordan Naylor and Zach Bennett were very sharp in net in the two games, with Naylor giving up two goals and Bennett surrendering one.

It was Naylor who got the final start of the week Oct. 5 at home against Powell River and he posted a 26 save shutout.

Scardina added another two goals in that 3-0 win while Steven Agriogianis scored his first BCHL goal for the Clippers.
