Clippers Offseason Update – May 15

Coach Darren Naylor is off at the National Junior A Championship in Brooks Alberta after a victorious appearance at the Boston Pre Draft Tournament over the weekend.

The last few weeks have been somewhat of a whirlwind with Naylor and assistant coach Colin Birkas traveling around North America.

There will be some player commitments to be announced after the latest round of recruiting, but that will come later from club.

Winning the Pre Draft Tournament is a massive highlight as the Clippers teamed up with the Coquitlam Express to capture the title.

Naylor and Birkas were part of the coaching staff with veterans Jordan Naylor, Tyler Williams, Robby Drazner, and Zack Dallazanna competing on the ice.

This week in Brooks coach Naylor and Director of Business Operations Tali Campbell will be talking to representatives from Hockey Canada about the team’s bid for the 2021 National Junior A Championship.

They’ll get a first hand look at what goes in to putting on a massive event like the national championship and also see the high calibre of play put on by best Junior A teams in the country.
