Montreal Canadiens winger Jonathan Drouin has undergone surgery for a “previously fractured nose,” the club announced Wednesday.

The team added the procedure performed Tuesday was “minor” and that the 24-year-old is expected to resume off-season training in two to three weeks.

Drouin had 18 goals and 35 assists for 53 points in 81 games in 2018-19 for the Canadiens, who missed the playoffs by two points in the Eastern Conference.

Originally drafted third overall in 2013 by the Tampa Bay Lightning, the native of Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, Que., has 194 points (60 goals, 134 assists) in 322 career NHL games to go along with 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 23 playoff outings.
