Clippers fall 5-3 to Centennials in hard fought battle
NANAIMO – The Clippers battled, they clawed and scratched, but couldn’t get a result against the Merritt Centennials on Saturday.
Merritt won the game 5-3 in front of large crowd of 1678 at Frank Crane Arena.
There was no scoring in the first period with solid goaltending from the Clippers Landon Pavlisin and former Clipper Austin Roden.
In the second, the Centennials jumped out in front 2-0 on goals by Nick Granowicz and Matthew Kopperud in the first 1:40.
