Clippers win streak hits three after 3-2 shootout win in West Kelowna
WEST KELOWNA — The Clippers have built up a three game winning streak, and they’ve gone beyond 60 minutes every time to do it. It started October 7 with a 4-3 shootout against Trail, it continued with a 5-4 overtime victory in Wenatchee on Friday, and the latest triumph was 3-2 in a shootout in West Kelowna.
The scoring took a while to get going with both teams getting solid goaltending.
There was no scoring in the first period with both Nanaimo’s Landon Pavlisin and the Warriors Connor Hopkins stopping nine shots each.
In the second period West Kelowna went to the power play twice, including a five minute major penalty assessed to Connor Wetsch.
