Nanaimo student arrested after threat towards school
NANAIMO — An 18-year-old Nanaimo high school student is in custody after allegedly making threats directed at a school.
The student was arrested Tuesday night, according to Nanaimo RCMP Cst. Gary O’Brien. He would not give details of the threats.
“They’re enough for our police officers to attend to his home, arrest him without incident and he’s currently in custody.”
O’Brien would not say which school was involved or how the threats were made. “The individual did not specify any students or staff.”
