Beban pool, weight room, Closed until August

An extended shut down for one of Nanaimo’s public pools and weight rooms.

The Beban Park pool and weight room will be shutdown, starting July 18, until August 22.

Several projects will go ahead, including replacing the glass roof in the lobby and any missing tiles in the pool area.

Equipment, lockers and change rooms will also be cleaned extensively.

There are other options for swimming and working out though, as the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre will remain open. Lifeguards are also on duty daily at Westwood Lake.
