Human remains found in wooded area in Nanaimo

City of Nanaimo workers have discovered human remains in a wooded area of Bowen Road, near Northfield.
They reported it to the RCMP around 9:30am Monday morning.
Constable Gary O’Brien says it’s much to early to speculate on who the person may be or how long they’ve been there.
He adds that police will be working with the BC Coroners Service, and if there is no criminal involvement the coroner will take over the case.
The wooded area is near the Christ Community Church.
