COURTENAY — A lightning strike on a plane flying from Comox to Vancouver was forced to make an emergency landing.
Pacific Coastal Airline’s Kevin Boothroyd says it happened shortly after 7 p.m. Monday night.
“About 20 minutes outside of Vancouver it took a pretty healthy lightning struck which took everybody by surprise and is never any fun to go through.”
He said the plane successfully landed at Vancouver International Airport and no injuries were reported.
