Qualicum Beach man accused of stabbing his parents enters plea

NANAIMO — A Qualicum Beach man accused of trying to kill his parents has plead guilty to one charge and not guilty to three others.
47-year-old Stephen Rivington plead guilty to one count of aggravated assault and not guilty to two attempted murder charges and another charge of aggravated assault during a recent court appearance.
Rivington is scheduled to appear back in court on Nov. 15 in Nanaimo to set up dates for his trial.
He was arrested after his elderly parents were stabbed at their home in the Chartwell subdivision of Qualicum Beach last November.
