MONTREAL — Custio Clayton (10-0) of Dartmouth, N.S. stopped Ramses Agaton (17-5-3) in the eighth round in a welterweight battle Thursday night at the Montreal Casino.

Super-middleweight Dario Bredicean also improved to 10-0 with a unanimous decision over Baptiste Castegnaro (8-11).

In a women’s welterweight bout, Marie-Eve Dicaire (5-0) of Terrebonne, Que., took the unanimous decision over Karla Zamora (3-3), while 42-year-old Alex Choko (0-1) of Montreal lost his debut bout to Mike Breton (1-2) of St. Georges, Que. Choko, who has been a gym owner, promoter and boxing author, opted to try boxing himself to draw attention to the combat against drugs in sports.
