NANAIMO — In the BCHL, make it three wins in a row for the Nanaimo Clippers. The Clippers who are on the mainland for a three game road trip shut out Penticton 3-0 Saturday night. 

The Clippers wrap up the trip with a game this afternoon in Merritt. Game time is 2:00 PM. 

In the VIJHL, the Oceanside Generals fell 4-1 to Victoria. The Generals will be back in action Sunday afternoon when they host the Comox Valley Glacier Kings. 

Game time is 2:30 PM at Oceanside Place.

Meanwhile the Nanaimo Buccaneers fell 5-3 to Comox last night. The Buccaneers are off until Thursday when they host Westshore.

In the BCFC, the season is over for the VI Raiders. The Raiders lost 34-29 to their island rivals the Westshore Rebels.

This is just the second time since 2005 that the Rebels have beat the Raiders.

In PACWEST soccer action both VIU’s men’s and women’s soccer teams were in action Saturday taking on Douglas Collage. The men needed extra time for a 2-1 win , while the women were shut out 3-nil.

Both teams will be back on the pitch at Langara this afternoon.
