Hotter than usual Summer in Nanaimo, while rainfall was fairly steady

NANAIMO — It was one of the warmest summers on record on mid-Vancouver Island, according Environment Canada.
Armel Castellan says the average temperature during June, July and August was 19 degrees, which is 1.3 degrees warmer than usual.
“In Fact, that ranks Nanaimo (the) fourth warmest for 2016 summer,” says Castellan.
The 4th warmest summer on record in Nanaimo compares to 124 years of weather data history.
