Clippers looking for volunteers and billets for upcoming season

The Nanaimo Clippers are looking to bolster their volunteers ranks for the upcoming season.
 
There’s a meeting for anyone interested on Tuesday August 16th at 6:30pm at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.
 
Clippers Community Relations Director Darcy Olsen says they can use help in a variety of positions.  
 
“We’re hoping to connect with some new faces and we look forward to seeing some faces from the past.  We’re looking for people to help us at our main door and pass gate, ushers, and program sales,” said Olsen.
 
The Clippers are also looking for billet families for the season as well.
 
Families need to provide a proper place to sleep and some meals.
 
Billets will receive some assistance for food costs.

The Clippers open training camp on August 23rd, with the first home preseason game on Wednesday August 31st, and the first regular season home game on September 9th.
