A look at five students killed by Matthew de Grood at Calgary house party
CALGARY — An Alberta review board hearing began Tuesday for a man found not criminally responsible for the stabbing deaths of five young people at a Calgary house party in 2014. Matthew de Grood is in a mental hospital and the board is to decide whether he should be granted any privileges such as escorted outings. Here is a look at the people who died:
Jordan Segura, 22:
Segura was a religious studies student at the University of Calgary and worked part time at funeral home McInnis & Holloway. His boss, Ernie Hagel, said Segura would have been a great funeral director, because he wanted to serve people.
