Brad Bowden’s six-point effort leads Canada over South Korea at World Sledge Hockey Challenge
CHARLOTTETOWN — Veteran Brad Bowden scored twice and set up four more — tying his own tournament record for points in a game — as Canada cruised to a 10-1 victory against South Korea on Monday at the World Sledge Hockey Challenge.
Bowden, from Orton, Ont., sparked the offence with a goal just 20 seconds into the game as the Canadian squad improved to 2-0-0 in preliminary-round play.
“The first game I struggled a little bit, I wasn’t happy with the way I played individually but the second game I wanted to find a piece of me and implement that into our offence as well, while also learning the new things I’m trying to implement into my game,” said the 33-year-old Bowden.
“It was a pretty good night for everybody.”
