Outpouring of support for injured lacrosse player Shawn Swanson
An outpouring of support for Nanaimo Senior B Timbermen lacrosse player Shawn Swanson.
He suffered a neck injury on Sunday during a game in Delta, and is in Royal Columbian hospital awaiting surgery.
Senior B Timbermen Coach Mike Maughan says the Langley Warriors are donating the proceeds of their playoff game Tuesday to the Swanson family, and a gofundme page has been set for the family as well.
“You can go the Senior B Timbermen facebook page. The league itself has got a gofundme page set up for him. So there’s several ways to reach out and help if you’re able to do something like that. There’s been tremendous support so far.”
