It is with great sadness that we announce David’s passing. He is predeceased by his father Larry Thomas, Mother Anne Thomas, father in-law Neil Palmer, mother in-law Mildred Palmer, and sister’s in-law Linda Thomas and Sharon Siebring.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Ann Thomas, his sons Darren Thomas (Isla Dodge) of Calgary A.B. and Michael Thomas (Angela Peterson) of Parksville B.C. Grandchildren Taylor Paige Thomas and Ember Hayes Thomas of Calgary A.B. and Xander David Liam Thomas of Parksville B.C. Sister Leni Wicklund, Brothers John Thomas and Bob Thomas, Brother in-law Jim Palmer (Vivian), Lloyd Palmer (Tammy), Wesley Palmer, Sister in-law Barbara Palmer, brother in-law John Siebring, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews across Canada.
David was Born in Comox British Columbia, where he lived until the age of 5. His family moved to Qualicum Beach British Columbia where he was raised and attended school until graduation.
David was very involved in music during high school, becoming a proud member of the high school band.
David had many jobs throughout his lifetime ranging from armoured guard to a cellular technician and salesperson.
David loved to tinker, fix and build things. He was a very kind-hearted man, whose door was never closed.
He held great pride in his 27-year involvement with the local Citizens on Patrol Organization, to which he donated countless hours patrolling the city and helping local law enforcement with his wife Ann.
He loved helping with the community Remembrance Day Celebrations.
David’s family loved him immensely and will miss him dearly.
