Norman Michael Terrance Saunders passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 3rd, 2018.

Norm was born in Clearwater, B.C. to loving parents Bo Saunders and Cathy Reid.

Growing up in Nanaimo he was heavily involved in youth sports, primarily hockey and baseball. As a young man his love for golf and fishing grew and he would spend many days enjoying these hobbies with his best friends. Norman was a journeyman plumber and also spent several years operating logging equipment with his Uncle Ryan.

Everywhere Norm went he made friends and was well known for his fun-loving care-free attitude and contagious smile. He walked to the beat of his own drum but he would always help a friend in need.

Norman leaves behind his loving daughter Hailey, father Bo (Luri), mother Cathy, sister Misty (Jeremy), uncle Ryan (Ciana), Uncle Kevin (Karin), Aunt Michelle, grandparents Rosalind and Ernie, Uncle Stephen (Suzie), Uncle Terrance, Aunt Tammy, Aunt Shawna, Aunt Heather and grandmother Adeana and many other family and friends.

A service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services,1720 Bowen Rd., Nanaimo, on June 9 at 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Life to follow at Costin Hall, 7232 Lantzville Rd. beginning at 2:30 p.m.
