OCTOBER 22, 1975 ~ APRIL 27, 2019 (AGE 43)
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Brian Charles Peterson. Brian was born on October 22nd, 1975 in Port Alberni, British Columbia. A warm hearted, kind man, Brian was taken too soon on April 27th, 2019. Brian was predeceased by his Grandparents and cousin Steven. He is survived by his father Richard (Rick) Peterson; Mother Roberta (Bobby) Peterson; sisters Darcie Bell (William), Stacey Peterson-Rowe (JD), nephews Eli and Ryker Bell; Aunts and Uncles; numerous cousins, and many, many friends.
Brian spent his life in the Parksville/Qualicum area. Growing up he loved playing with his sister Darcie and all the neighborhood kids catching snakes, frogs, & salamanders. Brian shared his passion for Hockey with his dad and sister Stacey. The three of them spent many “Hockey nights in Canada” hollering and cheering at the TV or booing at the refereeing. Brian was rarely seen without his Vancouver Canuck Jersey and hat. The hat his nephews Eli & Ryker relentlessly stole off his head & would hide away from their uncle Bri . He was always up for a good game of hide and seek and of course he was ALWAYS up for a family dinner, especially when it was his mom’s cooking. He always went home with leftovers and clean laundry. And it wasn’t unusual to find BigB and Terminator (Dad) mowing em’ down in a rousing game of Day of Defeat.
At the Age of 18 Brian landed his first job at French Creek Seafood. Although he had various other jobs throughout his life he always managed to find his way back to the plant. This was like his second family; his home away from home.
Brian was an incredible man that impacted so many lives, but he wouldn’t ever let on to his greatness, because he was a humble man that just wanted to be there for others.
