Kathryn Amy Knott, March 29, 1940 – December 19, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathryn Amy Knott on December 19, 2024 at age 84. Kathryn was born in London, England to William and Catherine Small. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard H. Knott, in 2013. Kathryn is survived by her daughter Lissa, son David (Heather) and grandchildren Kathryn (Adam), Mikhayla and Liam, as well as her great grandchildren Oliver and Eleanor. Also, her extended family and a vast network of friends. Kathryn was a beloved family member, devoted friend, and cherished part of her community. She was a beacon of kindness, warmth, and compassion, and her loss will be profoundly felt by everyone who knew her. In this time of grief, we take comfort in knowing that her kindness, generosity and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. A celebration of life will take place on January 25, 2025 at 1:30 pm at the Coast Bastion Hotel in Nanaimo, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to Catnap Society of Nanaimo or The Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC will be gladly accepted in Kathryn’s honour. Rest in peace, Mum. You have left an indelible mark on this world, and you will be deeply missed.
