OCTOBER 2, 1925 ~ MARCH 18, 2019 (AGE 93)
Nancy passed peacefully at West Coast General Hospital with family by her side.
Survived by her children Lois (Pat) Forrester, Brian (Barbara), Jack (Barbara J.), Dan (Nori), Dale (Paula), stepdaughter Linda (Cliff) Nordmarken, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister Teresa Van Vliet, and brother Neil (Carol) Nixon.
Nancy was born in Glasgow, Scotland where in October 1945 she married Gordon, who was in the Canadian Service. She travelled to Canada on her own to join Gordon, they moved to Sarita River where they lived for 12 years and started their family of three children (she loved Canada and Sarita River). Then on to Franklin River for 2 more years and two more children. Gordon built her a house on Steede Avenue where she lived and loved until his death.
Her final move was just down the street where she met and married Art Harrington until his passing in 2003. They spent many holidays in Hawaii and was so happy when her children could holiday there as well.
She loved her family, her home, carnations, shopping and Finn, for whom she cooked an egg for every Saturday morning.
She will be greatly missed.
LOVE YOU MOM.
