Dorothy Anne Foster – September 10th, 1935 – January 7th, 2024
Dorothy [Anne] Foster, 88, of Nanaimo and Lantzville, BC passed away on January 7th after a sudden decline in her health. Anne Foster was born Dorothy Anne Sherratt in Cheadle, England to Charles Sherratt and Dorothy Burgess. She married George Earl Foster (deceased) October 24th, 1954, and had three children, Darlene (deceased), Christine and Stephen. She is survived by her sisters Edith Wheatcroft and Linda Wilson (Helen Sherratt deceased) as well as her loving grandchildren Brandon, Jennifer and Laura, and great grandchildren James, Jonathan and Jenelle. She was a loving mother and wife with a huge heart full of love and generosity. She had passion for her spirituality and cared deeply for her friends. Anne was very talented and loved to paint and craft spending many hours making beautiful things for family and friends. Anne and George had a loving and full life together. They enjoyed camping and the beach throughout their lives spending many summers on the water taking in the mountain and sea views at their campsite on Big Qualicum or at the family home at the bottom of Benwaldun Rd. in Lantzville, which was always a hub for family activity. Anne will be missed by many but will live on in all our memories. A Memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (2114 Meredith Rd. Nanaimo, BC V9S 2N3) 3:30 PM, January 27th, tea following.
