Albert Forrest Barnhart, April 21, 1939 – January 27, 2026
In Loving Memory: Albert Forrest Barnhart April 21,1939 – Jan 27, 2026 After a quick decline in his physical health, Forrest passed away Jan 27th, 2026, at Concordia Place Nursing Home in Winnipeg, MB. Surrounded by his wife and family, Forrest left this world peacefully and loved. A beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather he will be missed. Predeceased by his father, John Benjamin Barnhart, his mother Lorna Pansy (Munday) Barnhart two brothers Donald Benjamin Barnhart and Gerald Keith Barnhart and previous spouse Pauline Agnes (Popoff) Barnhart and son Carman Duane Barnhart, grandchildren Benjamin Duane Keith Barnhart, Caleb Aaron Joshua Barnhart and Albert William Benjamin Barnhart. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 43 years Diane. Also left to mourn his sons Randy (Margaret) Barnhart (Randy Jr, Melissa), Earl Barnhardt (Brian and Kristen), Allen (Bonnie) Barnhart (Emily, Elizabeth and Abigail) and Paul Barnhart. Diane’s children Angel, Paul (Alison), Mark, Joel, Val and Karel took great care of Diane and Forrest during his final years. Forrest was born in Portage La Prairie; he spent the first seven years of his life in the village of Riding Mountain MB raised by his beloved mother while his father served overseas during WW2. After his father returned, more siblings were added to the family Don, Joyce, Reba, Gerald, and the twins Sandra and Betty. Forrest spoke lovingly about his siblings and their families and was always happy to see them and share their lives. Forrest worked in many different fields, he was a professional driving instructor, mechanic, a truck driver, and maintenance man. He always had stories to tell and share. He volunteered with the Rock Lake Ministries at their Bible Camp, Strawberry Lake Ministries’ Bible camp, the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Association and was an active member of the Gateway East Church in Winnipeg MB volunteering at their Food Bank. He was joyfully involved until October 2025. His Faith was a very important aspect of his life. He will be remembered for his love for his family and his church community His celebration of life will be held Friday April 24, 2026, at the East Elmwood Community Center 490 Keenleyside St Winnipeg MB from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We encourage all friends and family to come and share their memories.
