2 arrested and charged following Parksville area drug investigation

PARKSVILLE — Two people were arrested and charged for drug related charges in the Parksville-Qualicum area.

Oceanside RCMP announced Shane Mepsted, 39 of Coombs and Angela Hugh, 45 of Parksville, face drug trafficking charges.

Police stated the duo was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 28 following a several weeks long investigation.

Both have future court dates pending at Provincial Court in Nanaimo.

Oceanside RCMP noted public tips allowed the investigation to be successful.
