In Loving Memory of Nigel Sean Mardell Nigel Sean Mardell, age 58, passed away on the evening of August 22, 2026, in Nanaimo, British Columbia. He was surrounded by the love of his three children, who remained by his side.

Nigel was a compassionate, loving, and faithful man whose presence positively impacted the lives of those around him. He was a man of deep integrity, whose character and devotion to Christ left people better than he found them. Nigel was known for putting others before himself. He had a generous heart and would often reach out to those in need, including people experiencing homelessness, offering whatever food, clothing, or help he was able to give—even when he had little to give himself. His kindness was not simply something he spoke about; it was something he lived. Above all, Nigel will be remembered for his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. His simple reminder, “Trust in Jesus,” reflected the foundation upon which he lived his life.

Nigel leaves behind a lasting example of generosity, selflessness, integrity and faith. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Nigel is survived by his three children, Cameron, Mun-Ying, and Keira, who will carry his memory and the values he lived by.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified once arrangements have been finalized.
