Patricia Mary Treharne Anderson, August 4, 1947 – March 12, 2026
Patricia “Trish” Mary Treharne Anderson (née John) Born August 4, 1947 in London, England; died March 12, 2026 in Nanoose Bay, BC. Survived by sister Sally (Jean), niece Eleanor (Bob), friend Denise (Mike), honorary niece Arleah (Trevor), and many other friends. Predeceased by parents Rex and Sylvia. Trish was an active member of her many communities. An energetic participant in sports and games, she played slow pitch, softball, badminton, and horseshoes, including at the BC Seniors Games. A loyal friend, Trish provided a safe haven to young people in her life. She represented a stable presence, enthusiastic cheerleader, and fierce defender. Her incredible memory and astuteness served her well in her career, from UVic to BCIT, through an electrical apprenticeship at the Port Alice mill, her own small appliance repair business, and helping others at the Nanaimo Home Depot. Trish enjoyed nature; skiing, hiking, kayaking, or the flowers in her garden. In retirement Trish was a committed volunteer, serving on the executive of Zone 2 of the BC Seniors Games Society, and helping with a local feral cat program. She’ll be sorely missed. A celebration of life will be held at: Nanoose Place Community Centre, July 31, 2026, 2pm – 6pm.
