NANAIMO — Clippers forward Sam Boisvert has hit a rare milestone — playing in his 100th career game in Nanaimo.

Boisvert’s first game was on Sept. 22, 2023 and his century game came on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026 in Vernon.

For the 20-year-old it’s a major accomplishment in his final season of junior hockey.

“It feels great. To do it with the Nanaimo Clippers is awesome. It’s a wonderful team with a great coaching staff and I love it here.”

Boisvert had an assist in his 100th game, but had an extremely memorable 99th game with four goals in a rout over the Powell River Kings.

“It was so fun to put up eight goals and get a big win and the then to score four goals I didn’t know how to react. The last time I scored four goals in a game was in midget four years ago.”

The BCHL took notice his strong play recently by naming Boisvert the league’s second star of the week for Feb. 9-15.

He had five points in two games over the span of games.

Boisvert still remembers his first game with club and said he was both excited and nervous.

“It was against Cowichan at home. We lost but it was so fast for my first junior game. Then the next the next game was in Cowichan and I scored my first goal.”

Last season, Boisvert played 13 games before opting to move to the QMJHL, however early this season he made the decision to come back.

He has set career highs in every offensive category and has settled in well on a line with Tanner Bruender and Patrick Fortune.

“They are great players. We stick together really well and we get it done every game. I really like the chemistry we have.”

Clippers highlights from games on Feb. 13, 14 and 16 against the Eagles, Kings and Vipers.

Boisvert and the Clippers are on an excellent run of play with a 6-0-2 record dating back to Jan. 24.

Nanaimo will host the Chilliwack Chiefs on Friday, Feb. 20 and then visit the Surrey Eagles on Sunday, Feb. 22.
