handyDART services expanded

BC Transit is expanding handyDART Service in Port Alberni starting next week.

Saturday bus service will be available from 9 am until 1pm, and two new handyDART buses will be available for extra trips during weekday peak times.

For tonight, Regular Bus Service has been extended to 1:30 am for New Years celebrations with free service beginning at 7:30 this evening.

The service expansion is funded by municipal and provincial taxes and an operating grant in the provincial budget made public transit a priority in BC.
