Salvation Army Christmas Campaign almost over

The local Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is in the home stretch, with only a few days left in their fundraising drive.

More than 2400 people have requested hampers of food, including hundreds with toys for children.

Major Michael Ramsay says they’re more than half way towards their fundraising goal of $200,000 and they need the community’s help in meeting their goal.

“The 23rd will be our last day because we won’t have the kettles out on Sunday the 24th,” he said. “So if you have anytime between now and Saturday please give us a call, sign up to ring those bells, or everytime you walk by drop in whatever you can as even a quarter will help someone in need in our community.”
