Nanaimo RCMP’s top cop moves on

NANAIMO — The search is on for a new commanding officer of the Nanaimo RCMP.
Supt. Mark Fisher has left for a job in Winnipeg, where he’ll be a criminal operations officer at the RCMP’s provincial headquarters.
Fisher spent 2-and-a-half years at the helm of the Nanaimo RCMP.
Inspect. Sorab Rupa is the interim-commanding officer of the Nanaimo detachment.
