Guerrero, Kirk, Sanchez help Jays roll to 14-1 win in final game of spring training

DUNEDIN — Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Alejandro Kirk and Jesus Sanchez each had a two-run homer in a six-run first inning as the Toronto Blue Jays trounced the Tampa Bay Rays 14-1 on Sunday in the final spring training game for both teams.

George Springer’s three-run homer capped a seven-run fourth inning for Toronto (12-14). Addison Barger and Kirk each had an RBI single in that inning, with Sanchez knocking in a two-run double.

Leo Jimenez tacked on a run for the Blue Jays with an RBI single in the eighth.

Carson Williams hit a solo shot in the seventh inning for Tampa’s (10-17) one run.
