It’s been ten days since Port Alberni senior Kim Donovan went missing, and the search for him continues.
Alberni Valley Rescue Squad volunteers have spent more than 500 hours searching, along with 8 other Search and Rescue teams.
Helicopters, thermal-equipped drones and K9 units have also been deployed.
In a post on their Facebook page, AVRS said while they appreciate the public’s interest in assisting in this search, it was conducted in very dense brush and wooded areas, and SAR members have specific protective equipment and training to safely traverse through the terrain.
