Clippers win final game of 2025 against Grizzlies

COLWOOD — The Clippers entered their two week holiday break on a winning note.

Nanaimo never trailed in a 6-5 win over the Victoria Grizzlies.

Landon Pappas led the offense with two goals and an assist while Hayden Fechner and Tanner Bruender counted two assists each.

The other Clipper goals were scored by Patrick Fortune, Sam Boisvert, Jack Rimmer and Jordan Geike who had the game winner.

The final shots were 41-33 for Nanaimo with Dryden Riley getting the win in net.

Both teams went 1/5 on the man advantage.

The Clippers now hold a 2-0 lead in the season series and will play the Grizzlies an additional five times in 2026.

At the holiday break Nanaimo has a 15-12-2 record which is good for second place in the Coastal West Division.

The Clippers next game is on Jan. 3 in Cranbrook, the next home date is Jan. 9 versus Powell River.
