New charges laid against accused Nanaimo prowler
NANAIMO — Additional charges have been approved against a Duncan man in connection to a string of alleged prowling incidents in October.
Fifty-two-year-old David Robert Hope was charged earlier this year on one count of an indecent act in a public place, and breaking and entering with intent after an alleged incident on Oct. 16 at a south Nanaimo home.
Mounties continued their investigation into Hope and on Thursday, Dec. 18, announced six additional charges, including three more counts of indecent acts, one more break and enter with intent, along with two new charges of voyeurism.
Those charges stem from reported incidents on Sept. 5, Sept. 24 and Oct. 3 through the south and central area of Nanaimo, as well as one incident in Lake Cowichan.
