Clippers fail to execute in loss to Prince George

NANAIMO — The Clippers struggles against the Spruce Kings continued with a 5-1 loss on Nov. 19.

Nanaimo has an 0-3 record against Prince George and have been outscored 21-10.

It was a fast start for the Clippers in the latest contest with Sam Boisvert scoring inside the first four minutes of the game.

But that was all the offense they could muster against first star Ryder Green of the Spruce Kings.

Jackson Froysland tied the game in the first period for PG and Michael Denney got the eventual game winner in the middle frame.

The Spruce Kings added three third period goals by Ozbej Rep, Carter Hesselgrave and Mason Loewen to hand the Clippers their second straight loss.

The Clippers finished 0/3 on the man advantage and killed off their only penalty against.

The shots finished 30-30 with Green taking the win over Nanaimo’s Eliot Seguin-Lescarbeau.

Nanaimo heads out on the road for a games in Coquitlam and Surrey on Nov. 21 and 22.

They will return home on Nov. 29 to host the Langley Rivermen.
