Ladysmith RCMP look for witnesses after shots fired

LADYSMITH — Police in Ladysmith are turning to the public for answers following an early morning shooting.

It happened on Sunday, Feb. 18, where a parked unoccupied vehicle outside a home was shot at on Stz’uminus First Nation territory.

Ladysmith RCMP Sgt. Tim Desaulniers stated in a news release few details can be revealed at this time.

“We are limited with the details we can release at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.”

Evidence has been collected as part of an ongoing investigation with assistance from the RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section.
