Nanaimo RCMP on lookout for violent offender

Oct 20, 2023 | 9:45 AM

NANAIMO — Local Mounties are hoping the public can help find an offender considered violent and actively evading arrest.

An arrest warrant against Chase Peter Jack Goodale, 30, was issued last week stemming from a February 2022 incident in Nanaimo resulting in a charge of theft under $5,000.

Nanaimo RCMP note Goodale should be considered violent.

Numerous convictions against Goodale include a theft offence from a Nanaimo liquor store in January 2020, resulting in 18 months probation and a 10-year firearms ban.

Goodale is described as Indigenous, 5’10”, 175 pounds with short brown hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos on his hands and arms.

A bench warrant was applied against Goodale during an alleged Oct. 12 no-show in court, meaning if detained by police, Goodale will remain in custody pending his next court appearance.

Court records show Goodale was jailed last year after he was convicted of assault and theft charges for an incident in Duncan in 2022.
