NANAIMO — For those who like to walk a more spiritual path when it comes to their health, there’s an event which might energize your chakra.

The Wellness & Spirit Fair is open to all ages and will be in Nanaimo on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Cavallotti Lodge on East Wellington Rd. from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Coordinator Gypsy Hart said she’s expecting around 40 Vancouver Island vendors to attend, who will be showcasing their passions in all things related to spiritual, emotional, mental and physical health.

“I try to focus on having these vendors only having their passions. So let’s say they are making their own essential oils or things like that. It’s really kind of their passions, their small businesses, maybe their offering counselling, or life coaches, there’s a variety of different holistic paths people take.”

While admission to the fair is free, they will be collecting donations for the Nanaimo Youth Services Association, who will have their own booth at the event.

Hart said a number of guest speakers will be on site as well, discussing a variety of topics from the holistic, wellness, and metaphysical health industry.

“The fair is spotlighting conscious living, mental health, metaphysical readers, meaning that there are psychics, holistic empaths that are there to help guide people with their tools. So it might be tarot cards and tea leaves, and pendulums and that sort of thing. Every reader will have their own style of how they do their psychic readings.”

She said a variety of the anticipated 40 vendors will offer a variety of services such as massages and energy healing, all in the wellness and spiritual vein.

“So let’s say they are making their own essential oils or things like that. So it’s really kind of their passions, their small businesses, maybe their offering counselling, or life coaches, there’s a variety of different holistic paths people take.”
