Fourteen more people die from COVID-19 ahead of B.C. restrictions announcement
VICTORIA — British Columbia reported 274 new cases of COVID-19 a day ahead of the provincial government’s expected announcement of the loosening of some COVID-19 public health restrictions.
The government said Wednesday that 405 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 and 14 have died in the past 24 hours.
Health Minister Adrian Dix would not comment on what COVID-19 restrictions are to be lifted.
But Dix says the government would follow guidance from provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and make decisions based on the evidence.
